Balsamic Black Pepper Strawberries
- Yield 4 servings
A perfect non-fat topping for vanilla or chocolate ice cream or for a bed of field greens with toasted walnuts to almonds.
Be sure to use pepper straight from a pepper mill.
- 1 pint washed, hulled, sliced strawberries
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate 20 minutes.
