Balsamic Black Pepper Strawberries

  • Yield 4 servings

A perfect non-fat topping for vanilla or chocolate ice cream or for a bed of field greens with toasted walnuts to almonds.

Be sure to use pepper straight from a pepper mill.


1 pint washed, hulled, sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive mixing bowl. Cover and refrigerate 20 minutes.
