Asparagus Casserole

5-- new potatoes
2-- green onions,chopped
2 cups-- fresh asparagus
4 slices-- American cheese
1/4 cup-- butter
to taste-- salt and pepper


Peel and slice potatoes into greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle chopped onions on top and add cut asparagus. Dot with butter, season to taste and cover tightly. Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit for 45 minutes. Lay cheese on top to melt before serving.
