You are here: Home » Recipes » Apple Pie with Cranberries and Raisins Apple Pie with Cranberries and Raisins User Submitted Recipe by Lyelle Hathaway Yield 8 servings Prep 30 min.s Cook 55 min.s PrintEmail Ingredients 3/4 cup California Raisins1 1/2 cups water9 medium Granny Smith apples1 9-inch piecrust2 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 cup brown sugar3/4 teaspoon cinnamen1/4 teaspoon nutmeg1/8 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon lemon juice3 tablespoons butter1/2 cup whole cranberries Instructions Preheat oven to 450F. In a small saucepan, bring raisins and water to a boil. Turn off heat and let set for 10 minutes. Peel, core and slice apples. Sauté in Caro Syrup until for tender, using two pans to achieve even result. Add other ingredients (except raisins and cranberries) and toss to coat evenly. Place apple filling in piecrust. Drain raisins. Sprinkle raisins and cranberries on top of apples. Place top crust on pie and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 and continue baking 45 minutes.
