Apple Crumble Pie

Apple pie with a crumble topping makes a perfect fall desert.
Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- Filling:
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 cups peeled, sliced tart apples
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Topping:
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup crushed nonfat pretzels
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 5 tablespoons margarine, chilled and cut into pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a small bowl, mix flour, cold water and oil together and press into a 9-inch pie plate.
- Combine vanilla, cinnamon, 1 tablespoon water, flour, sugar and apples. Fill crust with filling.
- Combine cinnamon, pretzels, brown sugar and flour in a small bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apple filling.
- Bake 1 hour or until apples are done and pie is bubbly.
- Combine confectioners' sugar and lemon juice together in a measuring cup, drizzle over pie.
