Apple Crumble Pie

Ingredients

Crust:
1cup all-purpose flour
2tablespoons cold water
2tablespoons canola oil
Filling:
1teaspoon vanilla extract
1teaspoon ground cinnamon
1tablespoon water
1tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4cup sugar
4cups peeled, sliced tart apples
1/2cup confectioners' sugar
2tablespoons lemon juice
Topping:
1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2cup crushed nonfat pretzels
1/4cup light brown sugar
1cup all-purpose flour
5tablespoons margarine, chilled and cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix flour, cold water and oil together and press into a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Combine vanilla, cinnamon, 1 tablespoon water, flour, sugar and apples. Fill crust with filling.
  4. Combine cinnamon, pretzels, brown sugar and flour in a small bowl.  Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apple filling.
  5. Bake 1 hour or until apples are done and pie is bubbly.
  6. Combine confectioners’ sugar and lemon juice together in a measuring cup, drizzle over pie.
