We all know that it’s the little things that make a difference, so we’ve added small touches that deliver big pay offs to some familiar holiday dishes.

Sprightly and healthy pomegranate juice does double duty as a glaze for the turkey and a flavor booster for the sauce, while shiitake mushrooms and apricots liven up the dressing. Round out these dishes with some make-ahead sides and seasonal pies, and you’ve got a doable feast.
