Spiced-Up Hanukkah Recipes
Celebrate Hanukkah with a spicy new spin.
Our Spanish-influenced recipes will help you fire up the Festival of Lights on a spicy new note. While they may not be completely by-the-book in accordance with typical Jewish tradition, they certainly pay homage, and, if you keep a kosher kitchen, this collection of recipes can be modified. Simply omit the cream and cheese (or use a parve substitute) for the scalloped potatoes; use all chicken stock and simmer with the chipotles.
We also made sure to throw in a spicy fried nosh so you will not miss out on any festive frying. We recommend serving these fresh out of the oil before dinner. Even if you are not Jewish, this meal will be fantastic for any holiday celebration.
