Peach Pie

This pie has a surprisingly good splash of lemonade and is best with the sweetest-ripest-and-juiciest peaches you can find.

Peach Lemonade Pie
Ken Haedrich

As a former Yankee happily transplanted in Southern soil, I'm all in favor of anything that includes the words lemonade, peach pie and pecans. String them all together and pile them into a flaky pastry, like I have here, and I've died and gone to pie heaven. Don't you dare try to make this without the best, sweet-ripe-and-juicy peaches you can find; mama would not approve. Lemonade concentrate? You bet. It comes across like a sassy Southern belle, with just the right touch of sweetness and pucker up-tartness to make a fine impression.

That irresistible Southern couple – peaches and pecans – make a show stopping appearance in this lemonade sweetened fruit pie.
