In this town, a sundae is only as good as its last topping. We're making sure yours stay covered all summer long.
Ice cream is like summer—sweet…but finicky and fleeting all the same. So we're taking old Shakespeare to heart and gathering our rosebuds (which is to say our ice cream) while we may, and dreaming of delicious ways to serve and enjoy it.
There's ice cream sandwiches to consider, and ice cream whoopie pies as well; there are cones and parfaits, double-dippers and triple-dippers too…but there's no ice cream we love more, at least as of this writing, than the simple brilliance of a sundae. A scoop of this, a drizzle of that, a sprinkle of you-know-whoosits, and the next thing you know, you've got yourself a summer dessert that makes you feel like an 8 year-old and the Star Spangled Banner all at the same time.
Here's few syrupy sauces that will take your sundaes over the top, plus an ice cream recipe the kids can handle all by themselves. It's made in a bag, and will keep little ones busy shaking it for 10 minutes solid…the gift that keeps on giving indeed.
