Make Ahead Ideas for Breakfast
Grab and go, or pop into the oven--no complex brain activity needed!

A made-ahead breakfast lets you jump out of bed and greet the day with a smile. Or at least put on pants and wander to the kitchen to find breakfast almost ready.
- For the fastest breakfast solution, keep boiled eggs on hand to grab and go. Other on-the-go eats include dried fruit and nut mixes, quick breads such as zucchini or banana, breakfast bars, muffins, scones, sausage pinwheels and quiche.
- Pancakes freeze well. Just make a few extra, then wrap a stack of three in plastic wrap and freeze. Microwave for a few seconds, then top with your favorites. (When pressed for time, spread peanut butter between two pancakes for a portable morning meal.)
- When the occasion calls for something more formal, make a casserole the night before. Here are some of our favorite morning meals that just need a brief heating or baking and are definitely worth getting out of bed for.
