Cookie Recipes for Spring
With picnics, tea parties and garden gatherings officially in full swing, these are the cookies we think are simply dazzling in the springtime.
“It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want—oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!” Mark Twain
Mr. Twain, we may have discovered exactly what our spring-fevered hearts ache for—cookies. Not an expected conclusion we know, but with picnics, tea parties and garden gatherings in full swing, we can’t imagine desiring anything more than sweet bites characteristic of the season.
Our favorites are those bursting with palpable freshness—light shortbreads, lemon shorties, biscotti and even cookies flavored with garden herbs. Recipes that make you feel strangely lighter and brighter after indulging.
